Battles: South Pacific is a solitaire tactical skirmish wargame depicting Australian Commando operations against the Imperial Japanese Army in the Solomon Islands during 1944-1945.
The game features 7 types of missions and 10 battle maps. Solitaire campaigns consist of either 5 or 10 random linked skirmish battles, including missions such as Bridge Demolitions and Officer Assassinations.
The game features an advanced enemy IJA AI bot opponent which makes calculated decisions based on its current situation. Other features such as day/night, weather, line of sight, suppression, and 7 terrain types with movement/cover effects are also included.
Players will be able to improve their Commandos by assigning them a variety of skills, plus equip them with numerous types of weapons and equipment before each mission.
Game Features:
Solitaire play.
One D6, one D20, and two D10 dice are required. A dry erase pen is also required.
5 minute game setup and breakdown times.
A medium size table is required for play.
Adjustable starting difficulty based on player's skill level.
Total campaign play time is apporoximately 2.5-5+ hours (depending on campaign length chosen). Individual battles can last between 15-45 minutes.

With most of the rules integrated into the tables, there is practically no learning curve or rules memorization.
