Quest across the wild lands to the Magic Tree! Cast Spells along the way, conjuring helpful tools while encountering curious and enchanted characters .
Spells is a hex-grid, pick-up and deliver, open draft, race-ish adventure word game. Players take turns traversing the magical wild lands, spelling words and making tricky decisions about whether to race to the end or go on side quests.
You will cultivate Magic as you Spell words out. This Magic will be counted at the end to determine a winner. But it can also be used to conjure a Broomstick to move further, a Wand to transform consonants into vowels, as well as a Charm, Crystal Ball, Familiar, and Friendly Spirit.
Magic can also be earned by meeting the requirements of the various Helpers you'll meet along the way. The Coven of witches need a Spell with a 'Q' in it for their recipe. You can sneak past the Sleeping Giant if your Spell contains the letters 'SH'.
Everyone will have a different adventure traveling the lands of Spells.
