Dr. 野口っち トリテ (Dr. Noguchi Trite) (2022)

In Dr. 野口っち トリテ (Dr. Noguchi Trite), the players are apprentice virus researchers and while their boss, Dr. Noguchi, is away on holiday, it is up to the three researchers to save the world - through trick-taking!

It is a may-follow, cooperative, trick-taking game for exactly 3 players. The game uses a deck of 4 suits of cards, with 1 suit for each of the research areas the players will be pursuing, and 1 for the virus.

Each player is assigned a role and will only be able to cure one of the types of viruses. Each virus has a different mechanism for how it can be researched/weakened, and how it will be cured.

For instance, the red virus is weakened when the player in charge of the red researcher leads a trick with the red 1, 2, or 3, and wins the trick. Later, if the red researcher can win a trick where they lead the red 4, and the sum of the three cards played to the trick are greater than the virus' strength at the time, then the red virus is cured.

The players win if they can cure the three viruses. They lose if they have not cured the three viruses at the end of the third hand.
