Beschreibung
This booklet is a supplement to Taiping Era.
It contains the commander cards for all of the commanders in Taiping Era, plus extras such as "Chinese" Gordon, the Commanders of British forces in the 1840 Opium War, as well as blanks for players to create their own.
“Taiping Era” is a set of wargame rules for fighting land battles in the turbulent middle years of the 19th century.
Commanders are represented in the game by a model figure, as in most tabletop wargames. However, each commander can have unique abilities, so that he performs differently on the battlefield to all other commanders.
Commanders are allocated at both Army and Divisional level and their abilities are adjusted to take their relative levels of seniority into account.
The Commander’s abilities can be summarised on small cards, to be placed with the figure or held at the back of the board for reference. Cards for many of the armies covered by the rules are given in this small document, together with blanks for the user to complete themselves.
