Boosted Reality presents a future where humanity must venture to a promising world to find a new beginning.
But we are not the only species looking for a new start.

War is never simple, and this isn't just a bug-hunt.

The Scry'Ox are not villains.
They are a sophisticated society with a long history and culture, and are just as tough and determined as humanity, with just as much right to this new world.

The United Earth Defense Force fights for mankind. And with their advanced technology, their mechs, tanks and battle armor they are ready to face the Scry'Ox bioengineered species, evolved for war.

Rift Zone: Contact is a revolutionary table-top tactical battle game system that uses Mixed-Reality (Boosted Reality!) to eliminate the complexity of miniature war games by using innovative technology that you already own.
Yup, your cell phone holds half the battle!
Using AR, NFC, and some patent-pending special sauce, we've brought table-top gaming into a NEW dimension!

Rift Zone: Contact comes with real smart minis and map tiles for you to stage your battles.
Using RFID to uniquely identify them, each of your units have a name, individual abilities, and as they fight battle after battle, amassed history.
The game has a skirmish mode, with options like Elimination, King of the Mountain and Capture the Flag, as well as a complete campaign where you and friends can determine which civilization rules this brave new world.
They are scarred veterans of your generalship.
Don't let them down!

Rift Zone: Contact - Quick Start to Game Play
Welcome to the Rift Zone! We don’t think you should be forced to read a tome of rules before you can begin to have fun. The Rift Zone: Contact app knows all of the rules and will help you along the way. The first thing you should do is download the app from your favorite app store or by scanning the QR code on the website with your smart phone.
Once you’ve installed the app go ahead and open it. Great! You’re ready to play!
The Basic Game
Every game has a host and players. The host chooses the rules of engagement and the players choose to join the game and select which team they want to support. In the app the host taps the “Host Game” button and selects the rules which are made up of the winning conditions, number of teams, and the allowed army power per team.
Players select “Join” and select the host’s game to join. Then they move their player to the team they wish. Everyone selects the units they will add to the team. Once all units have been added everyone presses the Ready button and the Host starts the game.
A single game, or battle, is made up of multiple rounds. A round consists of multiple turns. Each unit takes a turn exactly once per round. Once a unit has ended its turn it cannot do anything other than evade or counter attack until the next round begins.
You may execute your units’ turns in any order you want. You know it is time for you to make a move when the music for your faction begins to play on your smartphone.

During a turn a unit can move and spend action points. Movement limits differ between units and are measured in centimeters. A unit can split its move into as many smaller increments as needed and can take actions in between moves. Terrain will have varying impacts on a unit’s movement depending on its movement type. Once a unit’s movement is zero it cannot move again until the next round.

Action points (AP) can be spent on attacks and abilities. Each unit has a maximum number of AP and an amount they recharge between rounds. AP you do not spend during a turn roll over to the next round up to the maximum for that unit.

Attacks - Every attack is different. All attacks have a maximum range and formula for calculating accuracy at a distance less than the maximum. Likewise, most attacks have a maximum damage and a formula for calculating damage at a particular range. Attacks that do damage will do damage of a single type. Finally, some attacks may have special effects that impact the targeted unit if it is hit. An effect may do damage of a different type than the attack’s primary damage. The more you play the more you will learn about the interactions of range, accuracy, damage, damage type, and armor.
Abilities - Some units have special abilities that they can use to give them an extra boost. Some abilities can use AP to get extra movement. Others can repair damage or add defensive capabilities.

When you select “End Turn” for a unit, that unit cannot be used again until the next round. Any leftover AP will be available for evasion or counter attacks in the event the unit is attacked.

When the victory conditions set at the beginning of the game are met the game is over. That’s it!
