Beschreibung
Race to the Moon is an All-Fair combined toy/game (as with so many of their products), involving a beautiful wooden standee decorated with one each of red, yellow, green, blue, and orange rockets. Five red cardboard rockets, each labeled with a different number of miles, are attached to the standee by taut rubber bands.

Each player gets a colored ball, which they use to roll and hit the tails of all five rockets, hopefully releasing each rubber band and sending each rocket "shooting" up. In most cases, not every rocket will work.

After their turn, the player adds up the collected miles of the rockets they were able to activate. The winner is the first one who is able to "reach" a combined 239,000 miles - the distance between the Earth and the moon!

A very similar (and probably just as rare) board game from Sweden Raket Flug shows wonderfully similar graphics and game play. The objective and scoring differ but the graphics have similar rocket launching pads and somewhat military theme.
