Welcome aboard the SS Royal Line, a luxurious ferry setting sail between the shores of Immingham, England, and Gothenburg, Sweden. The story begins with a grisly discovery - a Swedish gentleman by the name of Johan Dahlberg, known to many as a distinguished passenger of the SS Royal Line, lies lifeless in his private booth, a victim of a brutal homicide. As you arrive, one of the first people at the scene, you are taken aback by the sheer brutality of the crime. The aftermath leaves you gasping in disbelief, and you can’t help but need a moment to yourself before continuing the investigation.

When your initial shock settles, the fact that the assailant committed the act in the midst of a ferry journey brings to mind the mythic tales of Charon, the boatman from Greek mythology who ferries the souls of the dead across the river Styx to the afterlife. With this thought resting in the back of your head, you dive into your detective work. The ferry has been sealed by the police to keep all passengers and crew members onboard during the investigation, including the perpetrator. However, they can’t keep people onboard forever. You need to figure out who committed the crime, and time is running out.
