Brethren is designed to be Fast, Fun and Ferocious.
The rules have been designed in a way to allow wargaming on a tight schedule. Like many others I struggle to get opponents and games in while juggling everything else in life.
Through playtesting the True Skirmish Mode (smallest iteration) can be played within half an hour and the Big Army Mode lasts the typical amount of time as other major games.
