In Multiverse War you are a Viceroy, chosen to lead one of the first expeditions trough the Stone Portal to colonize the new worlds. Explore the wilderness, push the Empire’s border by constructing new Fortresses. Hire mighty heroes, train powerful armies and defeat all enemies, old and new. Show that you are worthy of your Emperor’s trust, may he live forever.
Multiverse War is a blend of 4X, MOBA like heroes, area control block wargame. Key elements are RPG style character progression for heroes, armies gain battle experience and become stronger, unique heroes and different faction, modular map and random encounters. All these factors give high replayability.
A turn has 3 phases.
Revenue phase: Collect revenue from your starting settlement and expansions.
Build phase: Construct buildings or tile improvements, recruit armies or a hero
Action phase: Move all available units you wish to this turn
Win the game through conquest (conquering the opponent's starting settlement), domination (construct all 4 Fortresses), by constructing a new Stone Portal (by controlling stone mines on the map), trough magic (by reaching level 6 with your hero) or through might (reaching the highest rank with your 3 military units).
