Beschreibung
“Agents without a Clue” is a strategic deduction card game for 3 to 8 players. Players take on the roles of secret Agents trying to find and kill the Ace Agent among them to keep top secret information from getting leaked. The catch is that nobody knows who the Ace Agent is, including the Ace themselves!
The game starts by each player choosing a character to be their secret Agent; the characters that are available are random each game, as there are a total of 17 but each player only gets to choose from two and will discard one. Each character's envelope contains a unique Rank card, a unique Signature Ability card, and a Signature Gun card. The player with the highest Rank will, at the end of the game, be the Ace Agent; but which character has the highest Rank is random each game! Higher ranked Agents will also have more powerful abilities, but are more likely to be the Ace Agent! Any player who is not the Ace Agent will instead be a Rookie. The deck of equipment cards is then drafted amongst all players to give them a starting hand, but do they not play them right away. They must be careful which cards they keep, because they'll have to use them all before the game ends!
With game setup complete, players then take turns, one at a time, playing a single card's effect from their hand. These can be guns for shooting each other or other utility items for defense, deduction, or even adjusting the Rank of other players. Most cards have more than one effect, but you must choose one to play out. Players only have a single hit point, so they must be careful to keep enough defense cards on them! If a player dies from being shot, their turns are skipped unless they are revived. Players will use the cards at their disposal to figure out or influence who the Ace Agent is and act accordingly to achieve their goal. While characters' Signature Ability cards are super powerful, they also give away a player's identity and should be held onto until the right time.
The goal of the game for the Ace Agent is to have either the highest ranking Rookie be dead or more than one Rookie be dead (even if the Ace himself is dead). The Rookies' goal is to work together to kill the Ace Agent without accidentally fulfilling his goal for him. The end of the game occurs after all players pass their turn in a row (from being either dead or out of cards); upon which all character's ranks are publicly revealed to determine who the Ace Agent is and whether the Ace Agent or the Rookies succeeded.
