Last Ditch is played on a free-form "board" made of intersecting straight lines with a closed border - the lines are the "ditches" of the title.
On a turn a player "fills" a ditch by scribbling over it, but if the ditch being filled intersects an already-filled ditch, it stops there.
The player filling the last ditch wins the game.
