Shell We? (2025)

Shell We? is a family-friendly, vibrant, and strategic tile-placement game by Reiner Knizia.

The goal is to be the first to play all your tiles or minimize penalty points when the game ends. With its easy-to-learn rules and intriguing mechanics, such as bonus actions, starfish tiles, and optional bottle tile effects, Shell We? provides an engaging experience for players of all ages and skill levels.

Set against the backdrop of a serene beach, players race to arrange colourful shell tiles on the board, following specific placement rules to outsmart their opponents and gain strategic advantages.


Each shell tile is marked with a specific color and number. Tiles can only be placed on spaces on the board that match both their colour and number.
A tile must be placed adjacent (horizontally or vertically, but not diagonally) to another tile already on the board.
Starfish tiles act as wilds and can be placed on any space next to an existing tile. If another player has the matching shell tile, they can replace the starfish tile with the correct one.
Placing tiles in specific ways, such as on "pearl spaces" or in consecutive order (ascending or descending), can trigger bonus actions, like placing additional tiles or gaining special effects.
