A Return to the Islands of the Damned (2023)

Those who have subscribed for or buy the Against The Odds (ATO) Annual 2020, published in 2023, DIRECT from Against The Odds (ATO) magazine, will receive a small expansion kit with mounted counters for both the solo games inside our "Islands of the Damned: Wake Island and Peleliu" issue (ATO #43). The expansion kit is named "A Return to the Islands of the Damned".

For the "Wake Island: Not Dead Yet" expansion game, in which the US solo player is defending against the Japanese attack, the expansion kit includes an addition eight (8) US counters to arrive if there is a Second Japanese Invasion, and represents the hypothetical event of US Task Force TF-14 getting close enough to Wake to unload some or all of its supplies (extra ammo, fuel, aircraft, radar, and more marines).

For the "Peleliu: Utmost Savagery" game, in which the US solo player is invading the island, the expansion kit includes:
(1) three US Marine Wardog counters which boosts the US side; plus
(2) five extra Japanese units, modelling the hypothetical event that a significant part of the 25,000-man Japanese force on the nearby Babeldaob Island actually had been successful in reinforcing the Japanese defenders on Peleliu.

"A Return to the Islands of the Damned" includes one page of Rules, and 16 die-cut counters. ONLY available by buying ATO Annual 2020 DIRECT from ATO magazine.
