CivGen is a board strategy game for 2, 3 or 4 players. The game contains board with hexes on which players are placing their buildings and military units. Buildings are producing resources, that are used for an empire development. Configuration of buildings and terrain give additional production bonuses. Each player is having a separate card deck with technologies, wonder, action, battle, war and bonus cards, split into eras. Government card determines player action points in round. Players are playing rounds until all players will pass and new turn starts. Players are playing cards to improve resource production, to be able to build better military units and to develop their civilization. There are General cards that have special abilities. General unit is giving bonuses to military units placed on board. When war starts military units are attacking in particular directions, starting from highest attack initiative. Each new turn an event card is taken that gives different bonuses or penalties to players. To resolve an event in some cases players need to roll dice. Players are producing culture points, that can be also obtained during war or from an event cards. Player with highest number of culture points wins.
