Beschreibung
While marketed as a board game, the Magic Robot Quiz game is probably more accurately a "curiosity" game. The "game" consists of placing a little robot figurine which holds a pointer in the center of a circular pattern of questions. The robot is rotated to a particular question, and then lifted from the question area and placed in the center of the circular pattern of answers, whereupon the figurine auto-rotates to point to the correct answer.
The mechanics of the board simply consist of a magnet in the figurine and two magnets in the board. The question area sets the correct offset on the robot's magnet, and then the robot is allowed to freely rotate in the answer area to provide the corresponding alignment.
The game is essentially a trivial pursuit limited to eight sets of 14 questions with a "wow" factor for kids.
Merit also released a "World of Sport" version of the game which used an Olympic torchbearer to point to the right answer.
Magic Robot Contents:
1 board
1 Robot figurine
4 overlay mats with questions and answers
