Iràs i no Tornaràs is a cooperative board game where players play as heroes of Balearic fairy tales. Your mission is to explore the map, gather resources, obtain magical tokens, and overcome obstacles set by the devil to complete the tale and win the game.
At the start, players choose a tale to play and set up the corresponding map as indicated by the first card in the tale deck. One player is designated as the main hero, and each player selects a hero card and places their token on the starting celestial tile. The main hero reads the next two cards from the tale deck to set the scene for the adventure.
The game map consists of 20 hexagonal tiles representing mountains, plains, and coasts. Tiles start unexplored and are revealed as players progress, each revealing unique locations. Heroes begin on the celestial tile, while the infernal tile remains off-limits but plays a special role in the game.
Each hero has a unique ability and must pass virtue tests to overcome challenges. These tests, based on wisdom, ingenuity, or courage, require rolling virtue dice to meet or exceed the difficulty level indicated on the challenge card. Successfully navigating these tests and working together will allow the heroes to complete their quest and advance the tale.
