Beschreibung
In Khatun, players take on the role of a Custos, competing against other Custos to control the red-light district of the city of Khatun. Your deck of cards includes Courtesans, actions, spells, magic, items, alchemical tools, and constructions. Use these resources strategically to gain the upper hand and achieve victory.
Khatun is a collectible card game (or CCG) set in a medieval fantasy world. Cards are categorized as common, uncommon, rare, and mythic rare. Players collect these cards and build decks from their collection to duel against each other. As a Custos, your goal is to earn enough silver in the streets of Khatun to bribe powerful Supremos to switch to your side. Supremos provide unique advantages, and the first player to convince three Supremos (or meet another win condition) wins the game.
The game features six distinct factions—five colored and one neutral—each with a unique focus and mindset, allowing for diverse deck construction. Additionally, jewels of different colors represent the compensation needed to bring cards into play.
Your deck may include various card types: actions, alchemy, items, magic, spells, constructions, and courtesans, each requiring specific compensation to use. Some cards, known as persistent cards, remain on the board and continuously impact the game, while flash cards have a one-time effect.
Players draw cards randomly from their deck each turn and play based on their available compensation. This element of randomness introduces strategic depth, as you must decide when to play cards or save compensation to play flash cards during your opponent’s turn. The game’s robust mechanics offer rich tactics and challenging decisions each turn.
While Khatun is traditionally a two-player duel, several formats allow for more players to join the game.
