Shadow and Rune immerses 1-4 players in a deck-building struggle for power within a world shrouded in darkness for half a millennium. Here, an affliction known as shadow sickness ravages the mind and body, a dire consequence of endless nights. Stripped of memories and purpose, players find themselves teetering on the edge of total oblivion.

The game is versatile, allowing for quick competitive matches or longer adventures through the persistent campaign. You can play solo or cooperatively, making it perfect for both short and extended sessions.

Your decisions shape the world, immediately or many hours later in your playthrough. The narrative unfolds through journal entries, exploring your decisions, surroundings, companions, environments, and their impact on your psyche and evolving personality.
