Beschreibung
TYP-DOM is a combination of dominoes and crossword puzzles, using interlocking pieces with letters on them. There are fifty of these tiles in black with consonants, and thirty in red with vowels. The rules provide for several game variations involving players taking turns using random tiles to construct words and score points. The first player to exhaust his tiles or score the most points is the winner.
TYP-DOM was granted a patent in Austria in 1938, and may have had more success abroad if not for the interruption of World War II. More recently, Piatnik has published several editions in Europe.
