Uphill is set in Discrimi Nation, where he inhabitants fight an intense battle, in which the wind favors the Nobles in power, while the peasants are desperately trying to climb the social ladder.

Each player gets warriors at random.

The peasantry hands over its strongest warriors to the nobility, while in turn the nobility passes its weakest warriors to the peasantry. Sounds fair? Depends on who you ask.

After that, based on how strong their army is, each player has to guess how many battles they are going to win.
Then the war begins: The King/Queen starts the game with placing a card on the table. Other players has to play a card with the same color. The stronger warrior hits the weaker (higher number hits the smaller one). The round is won by the player who played the highest card in the given color.

Based on the number of battles won, and how close were your guesses, power is redistributed, and ranks get swapped. You win some, you lose some.

And a new battle begins…

The player who can hold his/her Royal title 3 times in a row, wins the game.
