Expedition to the Temple of Bir Tawil (2017)

You are trying to reach the desert temple of Bir Tawil, moving through locations on the map with limited resources. Water and Fuel are essential, as is having Gold to trade with. Your path is guided by a magical device powered by Crystals, and is vital if you want to discover treasures or avoid bandit raids.

Through the course of the game you move along a map, with each space demanding different resources in order to travel. Most of the action happens on the action compass, a rondel-like track where each turn 1 or more bandits will move around blocking your actions. You will then be moving the resource dice around the action compass in order to gather resources.

The central game elements focus on engine building, resource management and dice manipulation. The effects of the dice rolls happen in future turns, and part of the challenge of the game is working out how best to manipulate the dice on the map before they resolve.
