According to animal legend, a clever raccoon is born with seven rings on her tail on a night with a bright copper moon. This raccoon is destined to save a mythical forest called the Notch. Use Speed, Strength, Scouting, and Wisdom cards to move ahead quickly while navigating strategic decisions about die rolls and card draws to earn your tail rings.

To win a player must earn seven tail rings and be the first raccoon to reach the Notch. Players must decide when to race ahead and where to pause and earn tail rings.

Players take turns rolling the die or using Friend Cards (Speed, Wisdom, Scouting, Strength) to navigate the path to the Notch. Players must stop at locations like the Old Raccoon's House and Big Water to draw and resolve action cards. They can also choose to stop at other sites to battle wild animals or save forest animals.

Tail rings are earned by collecting Friend Cards, winning dice battles, and resolving cards drawn at key locations on the path.
