It is a golden age of piracy and you are one of the captains that will set his name in history, or a lowlife no one will ever hear about again. Your goal is to amount 1000 gold in a span of 12 months and retire a wealthy man. It is time to plunder and sink ships, scare the poor merchants and avoid the noose.
Piracy! Hunters of the Seven Seas is a solitary game in one deck. It is encourage to write a diary, a captain’s log, as you play it, so landlubbers envy every minute of your life adventure.

Objective of the Normal game difficulty is to accumulate 1000 Gold in 12 months of time.
If you want to play a Harder game, you may try to accumulate the same amount of gold in less time. True pirate captain should be able to do it in 6-8 months.
If you think that game is too hard, you may increase number of months to 16, or lower the gold demand to 800 Gold.
So, Easy setting would be: 800 Gold in a span of 12 or 16 months.
If you manage to fulfill this demand before the time runs out, you may retire at any moment afterwards.
You may choose not to, as another objective of the game is to accumulate number of points, so you can check how good of a pirate are you. In any case, after reaching your goal of gold, you may retire after you have finished with all ship encounters of your current round.

With a deck of cards also comes a custom sheet which you can print for easier tracking of some game parameters. This is optional as you can do the same thing just by writing it down on any piece of paper.
