SMS Madness is a card game composed of 50 cards divided into 5 decks of 10 cards : "no look!", "upside down!", "quick!", "nonsense!" and "photo/mms!".
The goal is for the players to send their answers via text messages to the game master.
BEFORE THE GAME
The players have to check the following :
• The numbers of all the players are recorded in their cell phones.
• Their phones make sounds when they receive text messages (bleep, music, etc.)
THE GAME
The first player is the game master. He picks a card and reads the instructions to the other players. Each deck of cards is a particular type of skill challenge :
- "no look!" : the players write and send their SMS without looking at their cell phones.
- "upside down!" : the players write and send their SMS with their telephones upside down.
- "quick!" : the players write their SMS and send them as fast as possible.
- "nonsense!" : the players write a sentence that uses the letters on the card. The letters are the acronyms of a sentence that players make up and send as fast as possible to the game master.
- "photo/mms!" : the players take a picture with their phone and send the MMS to the game master.
When the 1st text message is received, the game master counts down from 10 to 0. Only the messages received between the first SMS and 0 are accepted.
The best text message wins. If more than one is correct, the quickest wins.
Next round, the game master changes, and the former game master becomes a player.
The first player who wins 3 cards wins the game.
