A yummy deduction game that will fill your belly.
In May, we went with a candy theme. The film was one of the cultiest of the cult films, yet also a family film based on a non-cult book... Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory.
Matthew O' Malley (Diner, Between Two Cities, Knot Dice) and Peter O' Malley designed Scrumdiddlyumptious, a deduction game that uses candy as its pieces! It's pure confection. I mean pure perfection. Or pure imagination? Anyway, it's so good, especially when you can eat the candy. :)
The art was completed by my daughter Beatrix Tagmire and son Leon Tagmire. It felt too fitting to not have kids do the artwork.
—description from the publisher
You actually play with real candy. Players grab handfuls of candy with different types (different colors, different brands, etc), and hide their stash from the other players. They then take turns using powers described on the card trying to get another player to eat pieces from their stash. The last person with candy still in their stash wins. But is losing really so terrible when it means you get to eat all that candy?
Postcard released in the May 2016 Board Game of the Month Club $5+ package.
