Domino Sudoku combines the familiar number placement rules of Sudoku with numbered domino tiles with players competing for the highest score.
To set up the game, shuffle the number tiles face down; remove as many tiles from the game as the number of players, then take one of these tiles and place it face-up on the table as the starting tile.
On a turn, a player reveals a tile, then adds it to the array of tiles on the table. The numbers on the tile must be oriented in the same direction; at least one number on the tile must be placed adjacent to an existing tile; and no number can be added to a row or column that is already present in that row or column. After placing a tile, the player earns as many points as the number of numbers in the row(s) and column(s) to which the tile was added. (Skip gaps in a row or column when summing points.) If by placing a tile, a player completes a row or column with nine different numbers, he scores ten bonus points.
Once all the tiles have been placed, the game ends and the player with the highest score wins.
For the solo game, remove ten tiles at random, using one of them as the starting tile. Try to score as many points as you can!
