Earthquakes - triggered by the story of a scenario. Large blocks of stones fall down and can block paths, resources or buildings. But you can use the craftsman to free these areas. Or you can release blocks of stones to use them to your advantage.

Whirlpools - will pull you in and stun you/enemies for 1 game round if you are adjacent to them. In some scenarios, they are used as a “whirlpool portal” to get to other locations when areas are separated or divided by terrain tiles.

Streaming tubes - With the use of 1 movement point (MOV), you can enter and exit them at any point of the tube. They can also be combined to create large tubes with different shapes.
