... We have stranded on an unknown, dark planet
... The electromagnetic storm has pulled all power from our gear

In Zapp'em, 4 astronauts team up to take on 1 sinister alien villain. Players can also choose to play battle royale mode: every man for himself.
On a fictitious 8x9 grid, players take turns announcing where they stand by playing a grid card from their hand. From that location you can either:
pick up an item: special guns, shields, nightvision or hearts
use objects, or
inflict a hitpoint at your enemy if you are within shooting range.
The astronauts can team up and share items. The villain can apply all three actions in one turn, if possible.
Whoever takes out the other, wins! You have to rely on tactics and cooperation: since the game plays in darkness, you never know where your opponent is. You don't see the hit points coming, which makes the game tense and exciting!
