In the game of Schools of Thought players take on the role of envoys from various vassal states, cultivating scholars of different schools within the Academy of Learning. These scholars travel between states to persuade and lobby, or utilize their knowledge to enhance their reputation. As time passes, the scholars continue to grow, evolving from apprentices to masters of their school. The player who can assess the situation wisely, cultivate scholars most suited to the development of the times, and achieve the highest reputation, will emerge victorious in the game.
