Alkelda Dawn was an expansion for Starfire (3rd Edition). It was a "historical" campaign featuring the Vestrii race first described in the expansion Starfire: First Contact, and introduced two other new races (the Kess and the J'Rill). This expansion allowed for scenarios to be generated based on the strategic moves of the players, and this expansion included a map of the region of space where the game takes place. Since this was a campaign expansion, it required not only the base game Starfire (3rd Edition), but the campaign expansion Imperial Starfire. It also included a variety of new technologies for the Starfire system.
