This expansion for Crossroads is one complete story that's played a bit differently than the normal stories. Normally in Crossroads, you plan cooperatively. In The Out Route, you play competitively in what they call a "friendly rivalry." The change in format adds some interesting twists to the game.
The Out Route is a story of migration to Jerusalem and the rebuilding of that story. Players compete to be the most successful in the journey.
