A Game of Toll Gate (1894)

"A Game of Toll Gate" is a variation (such as India - An Oriental Game) of the Parcheesi game. The goal is to move the pawns around the board to the "home" section. Movement is controlled by dice. All players move around the same board, so they may capture each others pawns. Captured pawns are returned to their player's corner and must start their journey over. The winner is the first player to move all pawns "home". Components: 4 purple, 4 green, 4 yellow, and 4 red playing pieces; 4 die and 2 shakers made of wood.
