From the introduction:
A gnome artificer named Loscalzo makes his home in the small farming town of Winsor. Loscalzo is an accomplished artificer whom has had items he created sold in Aurora's Whole Realms Catalogue and personally used by Gareth Dragonsbane. Loscalzo often enlists some of the farmers in Winsor to try out his new inventions and lets them keep the ones that help them with their chores. The gnome prefers little attention as he deems it harmful to his creative imagination.
