A rare “space sargasso” brings the heroes’ ship — and their adventures — to an abrupt, if temporary, halt. As the hapless crew waits for the phenomenon to pass, they detect another ship trapped in the same anomaly. When the other craft refuses to respond to hails, the team travel over to investigate. But all find is a dead crew and a mysterious, ferocious animal stalking them. A survivor has the answers the heroes need, but he refuses to meet with them. Meanwhile, the creature has the interlopers squarely in its sights…and is determined to deal with them in the same manner as the first crew.
Becalmed is a short science fiction adventure using the Cepheus Engine (CE), Cepheus Deluxe (CD) and the Original Science Fiction Roleplaying Game (OSFRPG) rules. Other 2D6 systems are easily adapted.
