March of the Machine is an expansion for Magic: The Gathering that focuses on New Phyrexia's invasion of the multiverse. It introduces Battles to the game, a brand new card type—the first new card type since Planeswalkers were introduced in Lorwyn. Additionally, one card per pack is pulled from a bonus sheet of Multiverse Legends consisting of reprinted legendary creatures from all across the different planes, with new art showing them fighting in the war. Five Commander decks were released alongside the main set as tie-ins, featuring the return of the popular Planechase format. Each deck contains 10 Plane cards.
