The Heroic Legend of Arslan is a fantasy novel series written by Tanaka Yoshiki. It started to be published in 1986 and ended in 2017 with 16 novels and one side-story. It was adapted into a manga, 2 anime film adaptations, a 4-part (unfinished) anime OVA, and an anime television series (covering the first 4 novels).
