Starvation Island is a re-implementation of The Decisive Battle Guadalcanal which appeared in Japanese Hobby Magazine Game Journal back in 2001. This time around it's a magazine game. One of the major changes from the Japanese edition is that instead of a hex based map, you now have an area based map, and the rules are in English as opposed to Japanese.
