Niwashi is a cooperative game with limited communication for 2 players only.
The aim of the game is to achieve a maximum number of objectives by placing "garden tiles" on top of each other.
The two players must place "garden tiles" to build a garden and reveal shapes of one colour of the 4 seasons.
The garden tiles are divided into 3 plots of different colours (seasons or sand).
The players have to complete the shapes without knowing them.
They can also "play the lantern" and place it wherever and however they want to give the other player a clue.
The game ends when one player doesn't have any pieces left at the beginning of the round.
After a few games, players can embark on a "journey" around Japan and complete several gardens. Each challenge has different restrictions (limited playing areas, blocking plots, etc...) The gardeners can progress from challenge to challenge and try to complete them all.
