18GL is an 18xx game set in the US Great Lakes area. It shares many features with David G.D. Hecht's 1826: Railroading in France and Belgium from 1826, differing in that it does not have destinations (and thus no 5-share corporations), only one merger corporation, and diesels instead of TGVs. Unique features include a varied mix of private companies (with a small amount of random setup) and ferry lines, with a mix of other features drawn from numerous games in the series.
