Race to save the most animals from the flames!
This 2-player game revisits the card game War (aka Battle in the UK) and uses it as a mechanism to determine who gets to pick a card from the building in flames.
The building is a 4 x 4 grid of face-down cards, mostly animals (1 point per animal at the end of the game), but also 2 other types of cards, fire hydrants (2 cards) which give you an extra turn (pick another card from the building) or the "Cantinier/Cantinière" card (2 cards) which gives negative points at the end of the game (-1 per card).
Moreover, the value of the winning card for each battle will decide up to which floor a building card can be picked. For example, a value of 3 for the winning card will let the player choose any card from the first 3 floors, but not the 4th.
When the last building card is taken, players tally their points and the one with the most points wins the game.
