Description
This is a tactical simulation of the American Civil War battle near Sharpsburg on 17 September 1862. The components include:
1 8x10 map
1 set of rules 2.5 pages long including charts & tables
1 set of 26 counters; 10 Union, 15 Confederate & 1 game turn
The Union Infantry are Corps-sized, the Confederate Infantry are Division-sized. No scale is given for distance on the map or for each (of the 10) turns. Mechanics are a simple yugo-igo, but rough terrain and ample artillery make things interesting.
Original images are provided, as well as some graphically-updated images.
This is a good example of what early DTP-like self-publishing could do. Remember ... 1975 ... 33 years ago.
