'Nava' is an ‘easy to learn – tricky to master’ light abstract strategy game inspired by ancient Asian past-times, such as Nepalese 'Bagh-Chal' and 'Go'.
In Nava, players compete to gain control of the board. They do this by moving ‘Discs’ to capture rival pieces and laying ‘Cubes’ to mark and hold conquered areas.
Variable piece powers, diplomacy in 3 and 4 player games and player elimination combine to create a game that is rich in complexity and deeply though-provoking.
A typical game of 'Nava' is around 10 minutes but this is often extended in 3 and 4 player variants.
There are two ways to win: through elimination (quashing other players by landing on all of their discs) or through territory control, having placed all of your cubes.
'Nava' is due to launch on Kickstarter in 2020.
