Beschreibung
License to Laugh is a party game that hinges on your ability to be creative in an attempt to make the other players laugh, or merely please the judge.
A round begins with the judge drawing three letter cards at random. Once all of the players have seen the letters the timer is flipped and they have one minute to write a phrase. The phrase they come up with has to begin with the three letters drawn in the order they are shown on the plate, articles (a, an, the) prepositions (in, on, with, of) or conjunctions (and, but, or) can be added to the phrase to get your thoughts across better. Other then these exceptions, players aren't allowed to add additional words. It is up to the group to determine how vulgar or family friendly you will play. Once time is up, the judge reads the entries aloud and chooses a winner. The criteria for picking a winner is up to the judge, players can feel free to plead their case. Each letter card has a score associated with it and points are awarded according to how many are shown on the plate for that round. The letter cards are set aside and the role of judge moves to the next player. The game ends when a player reaches the finish on the board.
Like a lot of party games, the goal of License to Laugh is for everyone to have a good time, a laugh, and maybe stimulate conversation. Unlike other popular party games, License to Laugh puts the creativity completely in the players hands, no prewritten responses here! This ensures each game is unique to whichever group you have assembled.
