It was originally offered as a last minute "thank you" to backers of the Kickstarter campaign, with the note that it "will not be immediately available for retail sale with the base game."
The three recipes in the Marketing Basics expansion can be substituted for the three basic recipes in the main game. The normal beer batch tokens from the basic recipes in the main game should be used, remembering to count any batches of Irish Dry Stout and Everyone's Pale Ale as 3 Rep at scoring.
