Combat Cards, The Trading Card Game Of Dueling Warriors In The Second Life Virtual World, is a real and virtual collectible card game of melee combat for 2 players. In Second Life residents can buy virtual cards from vending machines and build them in to decks to give them different combinations of moves in the game. The decks provide a hidden heads up display allowing players to view and select cards from their hand and also animate their avatars, so spectators see the players fighting each other as they play. The game mechanics are based on Rock-Paper-Scissors, with cards attacking and/or defending high, low or mid locations, but sequences of cards can be played to build up powerful combos. Skillful players work out which combos their opponent has available to them and anticipate and block combos as they see them build. Anticipating the block allows bluffs and double bluffs to be played.
