Beschreibung
Between the 9th and 17th centuries, trade in the Mediterranean was characterized by the presence of the Maritime Republics, Italian port cities that, thanks to their commercial influence, were able not only to prosper but also to maintain a certain political autonomy.
Among them, the oldest is the Duchy of Amalfi, which reached its peak between the 9th and 10th centuries.

Amalfi is a competitive game in which players, taking on the role of the Dukes of Amalfi, must distribute their fleet among the ports of the Mediterranean.
At the end of each of the 5 rounds, players who have deployed the most ships in a single port earn a doubloon. But beware: anyone familiar with the sea knows that you must always reckon with the wind, which can change at any moment. In fact, during each round of the game, only the cards associated with the "active" winds are in effect.
Additionally, only one player per round has the ability to control the winds, so pay close attention to the cards other players play face up, and try to anticipate the ones that will be played face down. This way, you'll be able to better plan your strategy, accumulate more wealth than anyone else, and become the most powerful merchant in Amalfi!
