During the height of the Vietnam War, an American search and rescue team known as Vulture Squad is sent to an isolated jungle valley to uncover the fate of a missing Green Beret platoon. As they hunt through the primordial jungle depths of the valley, they discover ancient horrors that not only threaten to unravel their minds, but to end their lives as well! When the casualties mount, the men of Vulture Squad must abandon their human nature and give in to their savage instincts in order to survive! ​

Embark on a suicide mission within the lush jungle valley, taking on the role of either Vulture Squad or the Dogs of War. Your objective is to outsmart and hunt your opponent while swiftly completing the mission. In this primeval jungle, danger takes many forms! Beware not only of enemy soldiers but of the jungle valley's dinosaurs that stalk the jungle with predatory intent. Their gaze is fixed and their stomachs yearn to feast on the ultimate prey... You!​

Set against the backdrop of the first book, Opiate Undertow, players have access to 3 In-Game factions; the Americans, the Russians, and the Dinosaurs!

Each match centers around a series of Objectives that a player must complete in order to achieve their mission and win the game. The game is centered around 3 game modes:

​Primitive Warrior: Players take control of either Human faction and compete against each other and achieve victory on behalf of their country. Players can play a free-mode game, a pre-written scenario, or a full campaign based on the events that took place in the first novel as well as all new missions created by the series' Author!

Hunted: Players take control of either the Humans or Dinosaurs to compete in a battle of tenacity and wits. Each player has two objectives, Survive and Hunt! Players can play a free-mode match or a scenario based on the events of the first novel!

Primitive War: It's a three-way fight for supremacy in the Valley! The Americans face off against the Russians to complete their mission... but the jungle is filled to the brim with vicious dinosaurs that are looking to make the invasive humans their lunch! Who will walk away victorious?

Primitive War: The Miniatures Game is a Tabletop Skirmish Game that uses a modified set of rules from Clone-a-Saurus that combines traditional wargaming with the fluid and chaotic violence of a rampaging dinosaur!
