Beschreibung
Time travel is an unpredictable and unforgiving science. One wrong move can have catastrophic effects, potentially tearing apart the very fabric of the universe. To prevent such accidents, the secrets of time travel have been hidden in clues spread across the world by some mysterious entity. Your team of scientists is on the brink of unlocking these clues. With a nearly functional device, you prepare to embark on humanity's greatest journey. However you are not the only team to do so...
Timestamp is an episodic adventure game in which two players face off to unlock the mysteries of time travel for the human race. Each postcard installment takes players to new times and locations with unique challenges and goals. Every game will be different as players manage their teams of scientists and resources to perform one of the four actions unique to each card. The first player to meet the scenarios goal wins. Follow the clues, master your device, and unlock time itself!
—description from the publisher
A mysterious device has the potential to change the future. And the past. Across 12 episodes by 4 designers, you will unlock the mysteries of time travel, change history, and hopefully save the future.
Each episode brings a new twist on a central mechanism, as 2 teams of scientists compete to learn more about the device, research events on the timeline, and hunt for key components that will allow them mastery over time. Each episode occurs in a different time and place, from Elizabethan England to earth’s Lunar Colony, so you never know exactly where you’ll end up next.
TimeStamp is the 2018 Board Game of the Month postcard from Button Shy, with each month bringing a new episode, which can be played independently.
