In Takibi, the players are tending to a campfire. Each turn, players will choose and simultaneously reveal a card. Most of the cards have two halves: firewood and cocoa.
The strength of the fire increases for each player who plays a firewood card. Depending upon the resulting strength of the fire, these players may earn points or take a penalty. If the fire goes out, players who were drinking cocoa will take a penalty. There are also firestarter cards.
The player with the most points after a series of rounds wins.
