Beschreibung
Itancan is the Sioux word for Chief. The goal of this game is to be the first player to gain 28 feathers, thereby becoming Itancan (chief.)

Equipment:
1 board
6 playing pieces
1 die
28 peace cards
21 musket cards
60 feathers
12 value 10 feather tokens

The board is set up like a spoke, with the center spot being the Sacred Circle and is the starting place for all players. The four spokes signify the four directions.

Players roll a die and move that number of spaces on the board in any direction on a spoke. However, movement on the outer circle is only in clockwise direction unless when instructed by a card or other space directions.

The various spaces are:
Gaining and Losing Feathers
Peace Pipe Card - draw a Peace card and follow directions
Musket Card - draw a Musket card and follow directions
Eagle - gain one feather
War Council Place - If any player lands on a space occupied by another player both players go forward to the nearest War Council Place space. Once a player has twenty feathers or more he must give a feather to any player who manages to get them to the war council place as long as the other player has less feathers.

If you land on an unoccupied War Council Place space, the player who is closest on the board in any direction must join the player on that space.

Once a player gains 28 or more feathers, the remaining players have one turn to try and drop that player down to below 28 feathers. After all players have one more turn the player with the most feathers (28 or more) wins.
